Space to think

Real experience.
Open conversation.

Every property has a story. Behind it are decisions about money, people, buildings and what to do when things don't go to plan.

At Home Farm, we bring those decisions into the conversation. We'll share what we've learned from buying, improving and operating property, including the rewards, the complications and the things we'd approach differently.

Bring a project you're considering, a question you've been turning over, or simply an interest in property. There's room to listen, contribute and explore different perspectives.

Who it's for

Is this property weekend for you?

Our retreats welcome aspiring property developers, residential landlords, renovators and people exploring their first property project.

You might be considering a purchase, restoring an older building, reviewing a rental property or wondering whether development is right for you. You don't need a finished plan — bring your questions and an interest in learning from other people's experience.

Ideas worth exploring

Property investment, renovation and development

The conversation will reflect the interests of the group. These are some of the subjects we can explore together.

Spotting potential

Looking at opportunities, asking useful questions and deciding whether a property fits your ambitions.

Renovation & restoration

Improving buildings, working with their character and weighing up what a project really involves.

The numbers & the risks

Discussing budgets, unexpected costs and the commercial decisions behind a property project.

People & practicalities

Working with contractors and professionals, managing competing priorities and learning as you go.

Owning & operating

The day-to-day realities of looking after property, including our experience of running Home Farm.

Your next chapter

Giving your own ideas some attention, hearing other perspectives and considering what to explore next.

Meet your hosts

Craig & Claire Greenhouse.

Craig and Claire Greenhouse at the Spinnaker Tower

Home Farm is our home and a working hospitality business, bringing together our interests in property, historic buildings and commercial decision-making.

Claire Greenhouse

Property development, residential letting & historic buildings

Claire holds an MSc in Property Development from the University of Portsmouth, where her dissertation explored the adaptive reuse of historic buildings.

With 25 years' experience as a residential landlord and practical involvement in renovation and development, she brings a perspective grounded in both study and property ownership. Her particular interest is finding new possibilities for existing buildings while respecting their character.

Craig Greenhouse

Business acquisitions, investment analysis & property ownership

Craig brings experience in business ownership, acquisitions and commercial operations, alongside hands-on involvement in property renovation and hospitality.

His perspective centres on evaluating opportunities, understanding costs and risks, and assessing whether a project makes commercial sense. At Home Farm, those decisions meet the everyday realities of owning and operating a property business.

What others say about Craig

“Craig is a very smart and personable expert who specialises in mergers, acquisitions, private equity, property investment and venture capital”
